Field Studies is a laboratory for choreographer-scholars to move new projects forward in an environment of collaboration and experimentation. Over the course of three days, ten dance makers and writers gather together to share work and develop process thinking on studio practice and performance research. Friday and Saturday showings make space and time to show bits of bigger pieces and a whole host of dance ideas, dilemmas, and discoveries.
This year's participants are: Alfonso Cervera, Amanda Waal, Ann Mazzocca, Chelsea Rector, Cydney Watson, Hannah Schwadron, Marilyn Maywald Yahel, Rachel Carrico, Rachel Thorne Germond, and Rebecca Pappas.
There is a formal RSVP list due to space constraints. Also of note, Saturday's day time showing coincides with Bushwick's open studios.
